Hi Guys its Steve!!

I found a love for the four strings at 13 when I got my first bass and never looked back. Starting my part time music career still at school I racked up local gigs, winning Battle of the Bands and taking to festival stages all across the south by the time I was 15.

 

My real obsession started a year later when I got a placement for bass music performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, allowing me to fine tune my style while being taught by some incredible musicians and learn all new genres of music surrounded by open minded people.

Influenced heavily by rock, disco and funk, also loving the Flea basslines from the Chillis and James Brown soul, but I enjoy all music from DnB through to classical depending on my mood.

Joining DEBTS has been one of my greatest musical accomplishments to date, from sharing the stage with Libertines legend Carl Barat to overseas adventures in Spain and Gibraltar.
